The diagnostic testing offered by the Genetics laboratories is carried out in conjunction with or as a result of both the research effort and the clinical care provided at the Institute. As a result, the laboratory directors and staff can provide timely results and expert interpretations. In addition, if desired by the patient, their families or primary care providers, follow-up clinical and support services are readily available. In order to make maximum utilization of the clinical, and research expertise of the staff, the services are divided into three specialized laboratory services or sections. These sections are as follows: |
| Section | Faculty | ||
| Biochemical Genetics | Richard Kelley, Lisa Kratz | ||
| Cytogenetics | Denise Batista, Connie Griffin | ||
| Peroxisomal Disease | Ann Moser, Steven Steinberg, R.O. Jones, Gerald Raymond, Carol Tiffany |
| Separate information sheets, listing available procedures, CPT codes, sample
requirements, shipping instructions, and prices are located on this website. Please note
that there are separate information sheets for each laboratory section, and tests for each
section should be requested using the specific requisition form which can be printed or
downloaded. If you have any questions regarding the services provided, tests offered, sample requirements, shipping results or interpretation of results, please click on the appropriate email or call the appropriate phone number on the enclosed information sheets. We will be happy to answer any questions. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your staff. The administrative contact for the Genetics Laboratories is R.O. Jones (jonesri@kennedykrieger.org)
